After a few months of a really heavy amount of use the mill started to have small chips in several places. I would still highly recommended this mill though, I would just get the stainless next time.
I have milled around a 1/2 oz of herb through this grinder everyday since August-ish and I love it. It’s easy and quick compared to a conventional grinder. A few thoughts though..
Not one time has this mill left my stems into the top compartment. It just mills them. It doesn’t bother me although at first it was disappointing being that it is advertised to do so.
Second this thing is so much less work! Even when I have to push mill hash off of the top teeth guys with a wooden chopstick; it is easier than a grinder. The tip of my chopstick fits perfectly through the mill holes and makes poking sticky herb through easy! When it comes time to deep clean with alcohol this thing is way easier to scrub down than grinder teeth too!
Lastly, I don’t like the “pollen collector.” Im trying to catch keef not pollen. lol! The micron size of the screen is too small to catch my trichome heads anyway. I don’t get hardly any keef in the lower chamber which has pros and cons.
This thing is amazing. Breaks up flower effortlessly. Never have a stuck grinder again or have your flower shredded to smithereens. The #2 screen makes the flower so fluffy, perfect flower for a bowl or bong. #3 is the perfect flower for joints or blunts, it’s like you broke it up w your fingers except way more fluffy but the bigger pieces you need to make the blunt/joint burn correctly are there. Can’t say it enough, best grinder ever. I’ll never need another. The quality is amazing.
As someone with arthritis in the hands and fingers, this grinder is life changing. The movement is so smooth, putting no strain at all on my fingers. The first grind I wasn’t sure anything was happening until I opened the top and saw there was nothing there. I like the medium ground plate included, but many may prefer the fine grind for delicate papers. 12 out of 10.
I didn't realize how coarse the included medium grind plate would be. I know they have all of them available for purchase, but the fine plate should be the default. I'm not really interested in spending more for what would be standard with most other competitors.
